About Rae Smith
I am a Pastel Artist , a member of Pastel Arts Canada ,,I work mostly on sanded paper , exhibit at two local galley, Gallery 97 ,Going Coastal Gallery in Chester, Nova Scotia .I paint a lot of marine pictures from scenes captured by camera from my sailboat . Pictures also from travels to Bermuda , England , France,Wales ,Scotland , Dominican Republic , British Columbia and Alaska. I also taught Pastels at Chester Art Centre in July2010 Feb.03,2011 was an opening of an art exhibition at the "Craig Gallery" Alderney Landing ,in Dartmouth,N.S.I has several new pieces there on display. This was a very successful exhibition with approx 150 people at the opening. . Chester Yacht Club is using one of my paintings for Race Week Poster...

I really like this painting and for many reasons. One being , it's not much like mine. I love your use of bright and contrasting colors. My guess is it might not sell for some time probably because the price is to low. However, eventually the right people in the right place will see and recognize the brillance in this work .
